“Where were you on the morning Stanley Kirkman died?” Theo asked.

Tate Sinclair sat back. “I’m not sure. Where was I supposed to be?”

Ben groaned and turned to his brother. “This is getting us nowhere. So far all we’ve managed to find out is someone steals yogurts from the fridge at the spa, Gretchen has bad knees, and Tate is an asshole.”

“We didn’t need to question him to know that,” his brother shot back.

“You weren’t scheduled to work until that night in the dungeon,” Case pointed out. “But we have a witness who says she saw you on the grounds near the spa around the time of the murder.”

“Who is the witness?” Tate replied.

Chase frowned. “Can I beat the information out of him?”

“I don’t think that would be helpful.” But it would be fun.

“It would be fun,” Chase replied.

Yeah, since they’d started seeing Natalie, the twin thing was worse than ever. Oddly, he was okay with it.

“You know who you should really be talking to?” Tate sat forward, thumping a hand on the table with a righteous thud.

“Don’t say it.” He knew exactly where this was going.

“Those two tourist assholes,” Tate said with obvious relish. “They’re all over Natalie, and I’m pretty sure they’re conning her. Have we thought for a second about the fact that they show up right as Kirkman dies? No? Well, maybe we should.”

Ben sighed. They still had ten interviews to get through.

He prayed Natalie was having more luck with her appointment.
